Raiding Part Two: He Can Heal Us

Holy Paladin Healer
Another key addition to any group is a healer.  Healers are players that use spells to keep players alive when they are taking damage. Quite literally without a healer everyone dies! Before Cataclysm, healing was comparative to playing whack-a-mole. Healers would stare at the raid or group bars, and keep everyone healed to full, literally whacking them with heals in the same way that you whack those pesky moles with that padded hammer in whack-a-mole. Although I haven't had the opportunity to experience Cataclysm play I have heard it said that healing has changed quite a bit. Instead of the whack-a-mole play style, healing has become a bit more personal. Healers are now asked to chose their heals carefully, and use the right heal at the right time. Full health bars are a thing of the past, but with a good healer we will all stay alive!

Throughout life, we all make mistakes, which cause us to be in need of a good healer...
Our mistakes could be as simple as telling a lie, or hurting another's feelings, or standing in the fire (I didn't see it!). These mistakes hurt us, and create feelings of guilt and shame. These feelings cannot be relieved without repentance and forgiveness. They can be fully healed through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  There is a scripture in the book of Isaiah chapter one verse eighteen which states:

18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Just as Christ has taken upon himself our pains (see Raiding Part One), he has also taken upon himself our sins. When we sin, we can always repent, a process which involves admitting to ourselves that our actions were wrong, being truly sorry, confessing what we did to God (and asking for forgiveness), correcting what we did, and not doing those things again. As the above scripture states, we can be cleansed from sin through the Atonement. I know that Christ has paid the price for our sins, and that he can fully heal us. He loves us and wants us to come unto him by developing faith in him, repenting, and being baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost through those holding the authority to do so. Christ can truly be our personal healer if we only repent and sin no more!
