It seems that I've been writing quite a bit about WoW terms recently! Hopefully this does not disappoint anyone, but I feel the need to write about another. The term, as you can see from the title is "Cry Moar (More) Scrub". The term is quite straightforward, but the context of its use is quite particular to WoW. Say for example someone is getting ganked and wants help from other players. They'll spam chat and say, "HALP I IZ GETTING GANKED!" The usual nice person (or RPer [role player{c wut i did ther?}]) would say "I will certainly come to thy aid kind sir and vanquish the Alliance scum, which are running rampant in yonder regions!" On the other hand any normal PVPer would say something like "Cry moar scrub! L2P (learn to play)!"
Sympathy isn't meted out much in WoW, but players who respond with the phrase "Cry moar scrub" do have a point...
Instead of complaining about getting ganked, nerfs, human racials, or Blizzard recycling content, they should just play the game, and learn to deal with what happens. If you're getting ganked, spawn as far away as you can and run like heck! If your class is getting nerfed or you don't like your racials, then re roll! If you don't like how Blizzard handles their game, go play Runescape (LOLOLOL)!
The principle of "cry moar scrub" relates quite well to faith. Faith is an action word. It requires effort. You can't just cry to our Heavenly Father and expect things to go exactly the way you want them to. Let's say for example that you wanted a job, so for help you pray. Do you think that you will ever get a job if you just sit around and never fill out an application or go to your interviews? The Savior beckons "Come unto me" (Matt. 11:28), and "knock and it shall be (given) you" (Matt. 7:7). These are action words (like faith) -- come, knock.
I know that when we stop crying and act we will be blessed by our Heavenly Father. He truly helps those that help themselves. He loves us so very much because we are his children. He knows the things that we are going through and he desires to bless us, but he requires action on our part!
