Doing My Dailies Bro!

Mounts in Good Ol' Shattrath City
Back in the day when I dinged level 70 I desperately needed some gold to buy an epic flying mount. The only problem was that I needed  around 5,00 gold (which was a lot back then) to go and get one. You're probably asking yourself "why would anyone drop 5,000 hard owned gold just for a mount that flew?" For one it was super fast, and Outland was a big place.

"The Isle of QD"
The solution to my problem rested on a small island named Quel'Danas. There I could do repeatable "daily" quests to gain gold. After a while I would eventually gain enough gold to get the epic flying mount that I wanted. However, with the goal in mind, more problems came up!
For one, doing quests is work! It's a lot easier to be lazy then to go out and quest. Then there was the PvP (player versus player) aspect of the isle. With parties from both factions trying to do dailies, I could easily get distracted and gank people, or be ganked.

RL Dailies-- Prayer and Scripture Study
Most people in life have the goal of going to Heaven. Part of what we need to do to get there is to keep the commandments and endure to the end. But how can we do that with all the opposition in the world? The solution is doing our real life dailes... praying and studying the scriptures. Think about it, how much closer would you feel to our Heavenly Father on days when you read and pray compared to days when you don't? The comparison is night and day. As we daily feast upon the words of Christ and commune with our Father in Heaven we are given strength to get through the day and reach our eternal goals. In Alma 37:6 a Book of Mormon prophet gives this guidance to his son:

"Now ye may suppose that this is afoolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by bsmall and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."

Many great things are brought to pass by smaller things. It is the same with reading and scripture study. Just as it took a great deal of time, patience, and work to get epic flying back in the Burning Crusade days, it takes the small and simple acts of reading and scripture study to get to our ultimate goal of living again with our Father in Heaven. I know that as we overcome the things that keep us from doing these things, we will be blessed by being closer to our Father in Heaven.

You're on your own for praying...
