Troll Haircut |
One of the greatest additions that World of Warcraft has come up with was the addition of in-game haircuts. They really add character to your toon! And you're not stuck with he same haircut you picked when rolling a belf pally, thinking that long flowing hair was cool... not that I ever did that. I heard a story once about a barber that I wanted to relate. And no this is not just a troll.
There was once a barber who was cutting a man's hair (for all intensive purposes lets say he was the blood elf paladin mentioned before). The story goes on and they, like many barbers and their customers, get into a conversation...
Mommy I want Mr. T's Haircut! |
They start talking about trivial things such as loot and how overpowered death knights are, but then their conversation gets to be a little more serious. They start talking about why there is so much war in the world. The Horde always has to gank the pants off the Alliance, and all these monsters that drop epic loot have to be taken out, preferably every week after raids reset. If there was a higher being, a God as some people call it, he would he let things like this happen? After serious reflection upon the serious topic at hand the barber starts to realize a few people with horrible haircuts walk by. A troll walks by with a mo-hawk, a belf walks by with long flowing hair, and a gnome walks by with something similar to a dead pink bunny on his head. He says to the blood elf, "In a world full of barbers, its sad to see people with horrible haircuts. It would be so easy for them to just walk in here and get their haircut from me. Its probably similar to the way that God works. He lets people chose. He won't just control us and have everything be happy and cheerful. If that happened we would gain no experience and no fat lewts!"
God is our Heavenly Father |
I know that God is our Heavenly Father. He loves us so much that he has given us agency, or the ability to chose. Our Heavenly Father loves us in much of the same way that any earthly father or parent would, but in a more perfect way because he is perfect. He knows the things that we are in need of, and he knows the things that we are feeling. We are created in his image, which means that God has a body, just like we do. Although trials and bad things happen in the world they are all for our benefit. Imagine a world were everything is perfect. In some people's minds that would be great, but in a world like that no one would progress or be able to have choice. Our Heavenly Father knows that there are times that we will mess up and sin. He has provided a way fro us to atone for them. He has provided his son Jesus Christ to help us overcome our sins, weaknesses, trial, and afflictions. He will help us, and he has also given us prayer as a way to communicate with him!
