Recruit A Friend

So Happy!
In the World of Warcraft there's this great program called recruit-a-friend.It starts with Blizzard (the creators of WoW) allowing you to send out invites to your friends who don't play the game. Your friends are then given the chance to open up a trial account in which they can play online with you side by side, level up three times fatser, and see if they like the game.

They should play WoW together!
I think this is a genius idea! First off you get to start playing an awesome game with someone you actually like, and not only that, but you're progressing so much faster than if you started on your own. At the same time, you or your friend are  not really losing anything. The trial account is free, and there's not really any risk or things to buy until he's found out that he'd actually like to play the game. You on the other hand get to play with someone that you know in real life, share something that you enjoy with them, and maybe even get a sweet mount in the process.
Member Missionary!
The recruit-a-friend program is a lot like member missionary work...
Missionary work is simply inviting others to come unto Christ and is a commandment that Christ gave to his disciples in Matthew 28:18-19:

19 ¶Go ye therefore, and ateach all bnations, cbaptizing them in the name of the dFather, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 aTeaching them to bobserve all things whatsoever I have ccommanded you: and, lo, I am dwith you alway, even unto the eend of the world. Amen.

Christ and his Apostles
Blizzard can get many people to try the game out through advertising, but by being introduced by a friend their experience is a lot more enjoyable, and they are more likely to stay playing the game. Similarly, when members do missionary work with their friends they have much more enjoyable experiences. They are able to share something that brings them joy, and fulfillment with someone that they care for. The people are then a lot more likely to stay in the Church because they have a friend. They can explain new things and help them through the rough times. Going a step further, think about the network that Blizzard has compared to the people that actually play. Blizzard has about 5,00 emplyees, but 11.4 million subscibers with millions of friends equal out to a huge network. The church similarly "employs" 52,225 missionaries, but also has over fourteen million members with millions of friends that they can share the gospel with. Just imagine how much work we can all do!
