AoE French Toast

"We'll make it to Laurel... Someday!"
Every six weeks as a missionary, we have the opportunity to transfer from the area in which we serve. I love transfers and being able to travel through the state, and seeing all the other missionaries serving in their respected areas. Yesterday I got on a members van to travel from Missoula to Laurel, Montana and on the way we encountered a wild Elder Theodore Butler and his companion Elder Freeman. Lols ensued.

French Toast-- Yummy Breakfast or AoE damage in Disguise
So we met up at this restaurant named The Hanging 5 or something like that in Butte, Montana (yes, there actually is a town named Butte) to have breakfast. We all ordered, and Elder Butler got some French toast with a fruit and whipped cream topping. (This is important-- listen up) The order came, and soon the French toast's topping was half on the table and a quarter on Elder Butler's pants and a quarter on the floor. I was sitting next to Elder Butler, so I of course absorbed some of the AoE French toast's damage. Those unfamiliar to WoW might want to note that AoE means Area of Effect. Although most of the RL (real life) French toast AoE hit the floor and table's edge, both Elder Butler and I received some damage to our pants...

In the past I wrote a blog entitled "Horrible Haircuts and Agency", and today I wanted to talk a little more about the gift of agency that we have been given. Simply, agency is the ability that we have in life to choose. For example, when I wake up in the morning, I can chose to eat some cereal, or maybe some eggs, or I can even go without breakfast. There are even bigger decisions that we need to make in life, like whether or not we will follow our Savior Jesus Christ, or whether we will follow that other dude. 2 Nephi 2:27 puts it this way:

27.Wherefore, men are afree according to the bflesh; and call things are dgiven them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to echoose fliberty and eternal glife, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be hmiserable like unto himself.

AoE Blizzard
In our world today, a lot of people choose not to follow Christ. They have been blessed with the ability to choose not to. One thing that they may not realize though, is they cannot chose the consequences, and these consequences may hurt those around them. I'm sure you heard the phrase before "I'm only hurting myself". For the most part that is not true. There are people around you that will be affected by your decision. Go back to the AoE French toast. Elder Butler chose to get whipped cream and two varieties of fruit, then precariously perch it on the edge of the table. The whipped cream and fruit then spilled on his pants, which caused him to take some negligible damage, and Elder Cabral in turn was hit by some AoE on his pants as well. Then waitresses came by and acted as healers and helped us clean up and 'healed us back to full'. So Elder Butlers decision didn't only affect himself, but it also affected those around him.

Agency-- Also applies to character select screen
Moral of the Story: Think about your decisions because they effect those around you!
