Cataclysm Expansion Pack |
Expansion packs just might be the thing a gamer looks forward to the most. For those of you out there that don't know what a expansion pack is,
it is an addition or supplement to an existing game (also see Elder Butler's post Life is like an expansion pack). Expansion packs allow a gamer to play the same game that he loves, just with newer exciting content.
I remember a while back when Wrath of the Lich King launched. I had started playing WoW during the later end of Burning Crusade
expansion, so I was ready for more content, and being able to start off a new expansion instead of just starting in the middle. It seemed that once players got to 80 though, there was a lot of QQ (players complaining and crying about the game)...
Arenas weren't the same as "back in good 'ol BC", pve was easier to get into, and death knights were way OP! It seemed like everything that you could think of that wasn't the same was being complained about! Instead of just being grateful for a new expansion and content, players chose to find fault, because it wasn't the same game as before!

Less QQ More Pew Pew! |
As missionaries, we have the opportunity and privilege to teach and testify about a scriptural
expansion pack. Many people love and appreciate this expansion pack that God has given us in these the latter days, but there are still those that despise and reject it. I'm sure that many people know about the Bible, but did you know that God has given us a companion volume of scripture comparable to the Bible called The Book of Mormon? Did you also know that it is Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and establishes and clarifies truths found in the Bible?

The Cover Says it All |
I understand how many people can be weary of a
new expansion pack! At times I was weary of Lich King and all the changes that took place! Luckily, The Book of Mormon comes with a great promise to all those that are weary of its truthfulness. In
Moroni 10:3-5, Moroni (the last prophet to write in the Book of Mormon) states:
3. Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts.
4. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.
5. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

Moroni |
"Moroni's promise," as it has been called, is truly a wonderful promise from God. He tells all the skeptics, doubters, and sincere seekers to ask God in prayer if these things are true. I know that if we sincerely read from the Book of Mormon and pray to know of its truthfulness, we will be able to receive an answer to your prayers through the Holy Ghost. Our answer however is reliant on us having a sincere heart, real intent, and faith in Jesus Christ. Think about it. If this Book is true, wouldn't God testify of its truthfulness? Wouldn't you want to read and try out the expansion pack? I have come to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it can and will strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ. As a representative of Jesus Christ, called by a prophet of God, I humbly invite you, and all people to read from its pages and pray to know of its truthfulness.
